TV gardener Toby Buckland has revealed a top line-up of celebrities for his new summer gardening extravaganza.

Toby’s first Garden Festival at Bowood House in Wiltshire will take place on 5-6 June.

Former Gardeners’ World presenter Toby, who will speak at the festival on both days, will be joined by plant expert Roy Lancaster.

Other stars include BBC Grow Your Own Drugs and Countryfile presenter James Wong, the ethno-botanist; Gardeners’ Question Time expert Anne Swithinbank and RHS judge Jim Buttress, of BBC2’s The Big Allotment Challenge series.

Jim’s co-judge, florist Jonathan Moseley, will be on hand too.

Toby said his vision for the new event is to bring together specialist nurseries – so that gardeners can access unusual plants and expertise direct from growers.

Toby’s other festival at Powderham Castle returns for its second year on 1-2 May.

Big names already booked for Powderham include organic guru and author Bob Flowerdew, and The One Show’s gardening expert Christine Walkden.
