Politics met gardening at the Malvern Autumn Show when new Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and Prime Minister David Cameron had their faces carved in pumpkins.
The political pumpkins were created by expert carver Simon McMinnis (pictured), 32, from Poulton near Blackpool.
He has been a professional carver for six years, starting out in 2009 after deciding to do something different.
However Mr Corbyn’s pumpkin has been the subject of much debate, with some commentators pointing out that it bears a closer resemblance to veteran entertainer Bruce Forsyth than the Labour Party’s new leader.
The pumpkins were aimed at marking the start of the political parties’ conference seasons.
For carver Simon it is the busiest time of the year, as he spends most of his spare time carving at events in the run up to Halloween on 31 October.
