Suttons is to release a new and exclusive sunflower which it claims is “possibly the tallest sunflower ever produced”.

Sunflower ‘Giraffe’ (pictured) will be launched for the 2015 season, which has been declared the Year of the Sunflower.

It is said to grow to a height of 17ft (5.2m) and has been “British-bred for British conditions,” according to the Devon-based seed supplier.

Due to be in stores by mid-August and in Suttons’ catalogue in September, seed packets have a RRP of £2.99. Go to for more details.
