Grow your own extravaganza The Edible Garden Show is to up sticks from London and move back to Stoneleigh, its Midlands birthplace, in 2016. The relocation is aimed at boosting visitor numbers.

The show, which runs alongside its lifestyle event Good Life Live, has taken root at Alexandra Palace over the last two years.

Organisers claim that visitor numbers have risen by over 20 per over two years in London.

This year’s attendance stood at 15,211 over the three-day show.

Show organisers believe they can raise this figure to around 20,000 when the event heads back to Stoneleigh in Warwickshire on 11-13 March 2016.

Director Geraldine Reeve said feedback from exhibitors and visitors indicated that they wanted the show to return to the Midlands.

Geraldine said: “This year’s post-show research clearly illustrates nearly half of our audience would like to see the show return to the Midlands – we can’t ignore that.

“Our visitors come from all over the UK with most travelling around 1.5 hours. In order to continue growth, we have to centrally base the show where it is going to be most accessible.”

TV ethnobotanist James Wong is already booked for next year’s show.
